This is a classic scene

I hope Dan and David like this, Vietnam was probably crazier than this. Dad tells me that the Anti Sub helicopter pilots were like this only without the music. Maybe David will add a scene similar like this one in one of his books, maybe not. Any way this is tribute to all you Vietnam vets. I'll try to find more serious clips later.

That was a good film clip. But Skinky, remember, the siege of Khe Sanh was a military failure, the NVA did not succeed in creating another Dien Bien Phu. And the Tet Offensive resulted in destroying the combat effectivness of the Viet Cong and the South Vietnamese people never "rose up" to join the "revolution," as Hanoi predicted. Also, don't forget that for every Marine at Khe Sanh and every other grunt on the ground in Vietnam there were ten more guys deployed to support them so the "war" for those of us in those support roles was a lot less hazardous and arduous than for those infantrymen. But those images in those films were enough to convince people back home that we were losing that war and we did lose it, on the propaganda front.
