But they only want you to know the actual true history of events and how to discern between facts and fiction when hearing a "War Story". As a child I would ask my Uncles about their time in Korea and Vietnam. Neither of them would talk about it, stating "The world is a better place without such memories". After a time I quit asking.

Eric's right on target here.  He's been around.  What I'm saying is don't take too much of what you hear at face value.  That's a good rule to follow throughout life and especially in an election year.  But nothing pisses me off more than guys who claim to have been heroes but weren't.  That's stealing from real heroes.
