damn straight! Lord knows what hardship my own parents went through to make sure i was born and raised in a land of freedom, something they themselves didnt have growing up. learning English on their own and becoming naturalized, along with enforcing a english only home life has given me the utmost respect for this land that is my home...*Salute*

Jeppers, where did your folks come from originally?  Sometimes it's the recent Americans who truly realize how free we are in this country while those of us who've been here a while take our freedoms for granted.  I worked with a young lady recently who is first-generation American.  Her parents learned English and then worked nearly 24-7 to put her through college.  She gave up the prospect of law school to volunteer for arduous and dangerous government work and I asked her why she did that and she told me, "After 9-11 I thought I had a responsibility to give back to this country something of what it had given to me."  I think there are a lot of young people out there who think that way.  We've some on this site.  Makes you realize all is not yet lost of the spirit that founded this nation.

Yep. Even though I don't like the Gov so much, they do allow us to pratice our religion and other things. Speaking about freedom, did any one hear what happend in Tibet? I have no idea why they protested. And the N.Y. Times did not say why either. It sure looks like that song is becoming more and more accurate The name of the song is "Eve of Destruction" and I can't remember who wrote it.
