Well, if you must have a smoke, roll up some old newspapers before you light up a Clinton. This very morning I shall buy a half dozen Avo 787s since I'll be passing right by a cigar store in the building where Sunny sees her eye doctor. Those are deeeeelightful 45-minute smokes and affordable to men of modest income but incomparable good taste in tobacco.
PS: I'm told that's pronounced "Ah-vo Oo-veezian."
You bet they're real! That was the time I was down at Ft. Lauderdale and David and I were plotting our next book. I figured we should relax in style. Those Davidoffs, Anniversarios No. 1, cost me $25 each. Now the Avo Uvezian No. 787s I mentioned in an earlier post are only $12.50 each in the higher-class cigar joints. You should be able to get them much cheaper in Knoxville, Skinky, maybe for as little as $10 each.
