David's an M14 man.  I'm an M1 Garand type of guy, but neither one of us is gonna fire two of our babies at the same time, let me tell ya!  I once owned a Thompson.  Boy, was that a fun gun to shoot!  But I sold it.  These days those guns are worth upwards of ten grand.

Then sell your M1! It would set you and Sunny for life (Sunny is your wife correct?)

Skinkie...there is no such things as being set for life. The more we make, the more we spend. Specially when married.

Sell my Garand!  Horrors, laddie, never!  That rifle's going into the grave with me, locked and loaded.  Never know what you may encounter on the Other Side.  Anyway, in its present condition (original parts, low serial number) in today's market it's not worth much more than $2,000-$2,500.  Now the Thompson I had, today that'd cost easily ten grand, and that's on the low side.

I'm telling you, on Auctions you could make a lot of money. Now I thought that we had a  painting that was valuble, and we took it to a Antique store. Guess what, it's worth 500 dollers. I'm hoping the clock my old man got from Germany is worth something. It is a clock with a 18th century ship steering wheel around the clock and it has a brass metal that wraps around the clock. Or maybe my mother's statue of a cat is worth something.
