But Dan, go on and see your friends, you'll probably get drunk and laugh;) I run VISTA on my DELL laptop now and XP Pro on my desk top. Vista runs just fine, and I have not had any issues. And trust me, I have run a lot of different software programs on it to test it's performance. Granted when it was first introduced it had issues but most have been corrected with the arrival of Service Pack 1 which is available to download. The same issues happen with every new OS, so it is not a new concern. VISTA does look a lot better asthetically than XP, and it really has some cool upgrades from XP.
