Actually, as my father's family was from Kentucky, I'm probably closer to the Hatfields and McCoys than Dan is. The last I heard of the part of the Sherman family that stayed in Franklin County when my grandpa packed his family up and moved to industrial Ohio to find work, they were having a blood feud with the Coopers. Ah, I've never gotten a confirmation of that rumor.
