Regular attachments for me. Got used to them in my Civil War days. Learned how to use them fast and in pairs or more in my Boot Camp days :D

Three recruits with deuce gear and weapons crowded into a porta-shitter. Only in Boot...

Reading about all ya'll's hangovers makes me feel so very smug about not ever having gotten even a touch of a booze buzz in my entire life. I spent six years as an NCO in the Army without the stuff, and every year I could count on making a good little pile of cash from whatever poor sucker got stuck with Charge of Quarters on New Year's Eve.  I could have asked for a hundred dollars, and gotten it, but I was waaaay too charitable and only charged fifty at the most.  Except for one year when the First Shirt socked ME with CQ on New Year's Eve!  And I know good and well that he stuck me with it because he knew I didn't drink.  You should have seen my face fall.  The CQ roster came out, and I read it eagerly in order to find out who I was going to be making fifty bucks off of this year, and imagine my dismay to find my own name on it for that night.  Darn.

Mike, In the Corps, we had a name for the teetotalers. More than one, as a matter of fact. But this is a family site, so I won't repeat them here.

'Course, these days, drinking to excess is frowned upon in the military. Maybe you were just ahead of your time.
