Vietnamese for the number "33," a very popular beer brewed by Brassieries et Glacieres de l'Indochine at No. 6 Rue Paul Blanchy, Saigon.  GIs mispronounced "Ba Muoi Ba" into "Bammebam," "Bameba," etc.  I admit, I never heard anyone call it "Billy Bob," but that makes sense.
