Kudos to the Authors

As a former Marine (two purple hearts and other stuff not worth bragging about) I've found the StarFist series of books very entertaining and delightfully true to the Marine Corps I knew.  I'm slogging thru the series and I'm up to the middle of Book IV.  At least the NVA didn't have any acid weapons!  Keep up the good work, guys...

Hey, "Sandy," thanks for dopping in on us!  Both David and I are anxious to learn what our readers think of these books, especially from salty old guys like you who've been there, done that.  We try to make these stories true to life but original also, without stereotyping either the characters or the action.  Your feedback is important to us.

I must agree with  Sandy.  Right now I am in the middle of book IV and am enjoying it.  Keep up the good work!

Thanks much for your comments. Dan and I both very much appreciate hearing from our readers. The comments that mean the most to me are from current/former Marines, particularly 03's who've been in the shit (sorry 'bout that, moderator, but that's the term we used).

"Sandflea"? You must have gone through PI. I went through Dago. I'll put the psychological torture of being one chainlink fence and a world away from Lindburg International Airport up against the physical torment of sandfleas any day.

DrIll:  Hey, thanks for taking the time to drop in on us.  Book IV, did you say?  Umm, lessee, OK, BLOOD CONTACT.  When you write a series like Starfist, we just submitted No. er, 11, I think, it gets hard to remember all the titles.  But the good news is, you've got a long way to go in the series and we both hope you keep up the reading.  As you move through the books, let us know what you think.  Our readers' opinions are very important to us.  Be advised, not all the books are the same.
