This year, I made enough to properly support my modest lifestyle (albeit without health insurance), but at this time my anticipated income for next year is sub-minimum wage. (Annual income for writers fluctuates wildly; feast or famine, is how another writer described it to me.) Except for a fortunate few, SF/fantasy pay is the pits. Hey, here's an idea. Christmas is in less than two weeks. Everybody go out and buy lots of copies of the Starfist and DemonTech books to use as stocking stuffers. That'll give my August royaltys a bit of a boost. Ah, never mind. By August, I'll probably be broke and on the street anyway.

No worries, we will support you. I will buy some books for Starfist since some of books are starting to fall apart. Also, I am still reading samples of Demontech, and thinking about getting it. I going to order them tommorow at Chapters since I got this clubcard. Oh and remind them not to go cheap on the ink next time. Close to the end of Lazarus Rising, the book was missing like a couple of words and I had trouble reading it. Thank god I recognize the words and I understand the ending.
