I mean you see most soldiers in those photos, outside of the fatigues most of them are lean buggers. Lean muscles, like triatheletes, sorta-kinda. They have to lug heavy stuff but they also have to crouch and run and dodge and weave so the whole body I guess is worked into a finely-tuned machine rather than focusing on just upper body strength.
