He was kinda high strung and was only in the Marines for 8yrs. But those 8yrs made such an impact on his life that he never got out of the Marine mode. I don't think he could actually think for himself, unless he read how to think for himself in a policy and procedures manual. It is strange how the military and their strong structured lifestyle will change a man so deeply that he cannot live without that structure as a civilian.

A sad thing to happen. But sometimes there are just things you experience that change you like that.
