help.
Posted: 01 Nov 06 5:29 PM

I now have all the info I need for the report that I'm writing. I'm doing it on Steel Gauntlet

1.I need to know the summary without giving away the book.

2.I need to give it a review, highligt the creativity, plot, characterzation, setting, figurtive language(don't know what that mean's) and other things that make this bok sweet.

3.Then i need to know the main characters.but for this i will just say Dean and Schultz because aren't they the bulk of the story?

so if anyone would like to help me do this that would be much aprecitated. so thank you in advanced.

For number three, vanden Hoyt and Wolfman play a pretty big role, especially closer to the end.  Aguinaldo is also a pretty big character in that one.

You could use the summary found on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steel_Gauntlet, and modify it suitably for the report (or alternatively, quote it and cite Wikipedia as the source)

"[F]igurative language" probably means the figures of speech, or some such used in the book.  I would ask the teacher/instructor what on earth that's supposed to mean.

In Starfist, the main characters tend to be, generally in order of importance, or quantity of scenes: Gunnery Sergeant (later Ensign) Charlie Bass; Dean and Claypoole (about equal); and Lance Cpt Schultz.  Brigidier Sturgeon tends to get a lot of "screen time", too, less so Captain Conorado.  If you take the longer-living members of 3rd Platoon, Company L, you'll find most of your main characters there.

From your Post I would venture that you have nothing.  Ultra I hate to seem prudish but isn't this your book report.  The whole Idea behind a book report isn't just about a book it is designed to give you practice with forming thoughts and conclussions, then figureing how to word them and put them on paper.  Why don't you post what you can come up with and then let the guys tweek it.  Don't tell me you can't come up with anything either.  Can't Never Did Anything.

"Figurative language" could include such remarks as, "Mohammed's toenails, lookit the rack on her!" and so on.
