A little late on the reply to this thread maybe, but i think the Skinks may have influenced humanity before. In Blood Contact, the Skinks refer to humans as Earth Barbarians. Do they know where Earth is? Have they been there? Also, i remember seeing mention of "...and they have changed in the interluding centuries..." or something to that effect.

All in all, i think we have a history we don't know about with these suckers.
