In all of the books i dont recall anyone saying oorah at all...correct me if im wrong.

Well i can't recall when exactly the tradition was started within the USMC, but i do not think it was there orignally in 1775, so odds are it has just been phased out by the 2400s. Although, in the beginning of Book 3, on pg 63 when the two specialists are leaving Company L after training the guys on how to spot for arty and air, the company gives them 3 'Aarugh!'s. Maybe that is their equivalent of Oooorah!
