I liked the Miller's Tale myself.  Always loved a good fart joke!

If you think about it, all the Starfist characters are reminiscent of those in the TALES because Chaucer, like all good writers, knew human nature thoroughly, and like him (without his genius, of course!) we're writing about real people in these stories and human nature doesn't change.  But we hope some of our characters stick with you like Chaucer's have. The fact that we're having this discussion in the first place is enormously gratifying to both of us as authors, 'cause it means maybe we did something right.

Ok people, WAY TOO QUIET!

We have over 30 people registered and only Dan, Shadow, & myself have listed favorite characters.  Come on people, show some love!  Claypoole fan club is getting lonely!!  Thinking of putting together a Big Barb Bikini Calendar?

My favorite characters are Dean, Claypoole, and Bass.  They are some off the best characters that I have had the good fortune of reading about.  I also like Doyle, a most unexpected good Marine, Shmitz, and a couple of the other minor characters.  I also like the others now matter how minor or how much it focuses on them.

Deadshot has it dead on. Charlie Bass is the lead character, It will be interesting to see how he likes being one of them (Officers)...
