Space Wolves? I've only ever fought them once, and I got crushed. Still won though. Captured the hill, but I lost 70 of my 95 figures. Let is be known that Tau Gun Drones kick ass, but only if they have the right numbers.

Deadshot,

You're right, there's no electronics involved in the chameleons, they merely pick up on the colors and patterns of whatever they're near. Think of the original "Preditor" movie.

I don't remember where the idea for the chameleons first came from, but I've never read Dan Abnett's Gaunt's Ghosts books.

Ever since Dan and I started this series, I've seen, months or even years later, things we came up with for Starfist that the army was developing. The most recent was a chameleon uniform.

bean,

i believe that the marines have another set of equipment that is used for temp regulation.  they had to train with the equipment and doyle decided that he was to cold and turned it off and over heated.

That's exactly it. The C-Effect, on the helmut, is only on the outside, while I suspect that that the insides are regulated...

And the body armor that they were issued... did it have the effect too?
