Okay. The chameleon effect isn't electronic. The climate control built into the chameleon uniform is electric, but is an insert rather than a necessary part of the uniform. The armor is an add on. David

Chameleons aren't as far out there anymore, as was once thought; there's a Japanese company that is now producing garments that use a  Flexible somwhuzit clothlike material that uses pinpoint cameras and reproduces the surrounding imagery on the outer portion of the garment. The only problem is it's rather cost prohibitive right now; a t-shirt goes for $15,000.00 or more, and they sold a rain coat for $156,000.00. They were here in Vegas for the last CES show earlier this year showing it off....
