Eastwood might be good as one of the army generals (not Cazombi (sp?)).  Maybe the one that failed to have things ready for Diamunde.  Or maybe one of the admirals that made an appearance in the earlier books.

I would choke if Eastwood were a squid, not that I have anything gegen squids... but I can see him as a Army General. Good sugestion, actually.

Damn, I always thought that if Hollywood came beckoning I'd just take the money and run. But since you asked...

How about James Woods as Aguinaldo? I've long wanted him in something I've written.

I had to think about Sam Shepherd as Sturgeon (he's one of my favorite actors), but that works.

It'd be somewhat out of character for him, but how about Jackie Chan as Claypoole? Other than that, unknowns for squad leader on down.

Can't think of his name, but one of the guys from Big Trouble in Little China for Hyakowa.

Ok, Aguinaldo, to me, has to be a little chunky...like James Gandelfini (Supranos) or Dennis Farina.

Sturgeon...I like Sam Shepherd...maybe James Woods

For Dean I'm going with Matt Damon and for Claypoole I like Jason Lee

Hyakowa could be Lou Diamond Phillips or Billy Zane...hmmm...Zane could be a good Gen Billy cause he plays a jerk real well.
