I have provided them with both written descriptions and drawings, but they insist on helmets based on those things from that awful movie the Heinlein estate made the producers take his name off of. Yes, cover art actually does influence people's book buying. It's happened to me as a reader. There are books I thought I wouldn't like, based on the cover illustrations, that I actually liked a great deal once I held my nose and gave them a try.
