Nope, it's done by convection, which is an old idea for sealed helmet-to-sealed-helmet, astronaught as well as military.Members of third platoon have communicated that way from time to time. They simply don't have as much need for absolute silence as FR does.

Since FR needs it more cuz they need to be more stealthy and do search & destroy or gather intel missions while the other FIST( Bass and company) are the assasult group?
