This use of first names reminds me of a story Gen. Fred Weyand told about himself. When he was Chief of Staff of the U. S. Army he went to Walter Reed Hospital to have a colonoscopy. You young studs will find out what they are when you get to be our age. Anyway, the doctor said, "Sir, I've never worked on a general before, what do I call you?" And Weyand said, "Doctor, after what you are going to do to me, you can call me Fred." That, gentlemen, is a true story.
