You can't forget "CSI" or "Bones," the truly never ending pile on crap that needs to end.

Ok now look...you can diss CSI: Miami and even CSI: NY, but the original series was well formulated and nothing at the time of its creation was as original and ground breaking. As for Bones it is similar yes, but does a damn good job at meshing the character arcs to make a good storyline. Although the romance part is played out from other series that has down it over and over, it still draws good numbers in viewers, so they have to add it in there. So don't be dissin' Bones either!

AND DON'T EVEN THINK 'BOUT DISSIN' SMALLVILLE! 'cause that would be fightin' words!

Eric, I can't say one way or the other about these shows because I just don't watch network TV anymore, haven't for years.  But a good friend of mine is a forensics guy with one of the local PDs and he says they watch CSI frequently and enjoy the show if only because it's a fantasy.  Nobody has all the doo-dads and gadgets and successes as they have on those shows.

Oh I totally agree, it is far from reality, but at the time of the shows arrival it was fresh, and innovative.
