LOVED IT LOVED IT LOOOOOOVED IT!!!

Sorry finished this one today... and thus brining me almost up to date on Starfist (just waiting for XI to hit Paperback).

First off, like Murphy's Laws: For the most part the attack and assass. Went without any large hitches (other than egression for the Recon but what do you expect? Its always hard for them...) but the whole plan was in the wrong to begin with....

And the C-S admitting she messed up... A rare quality in a politician....

(I'd volunteer to be one of Long's men who make sure that the former CIO Chair and Deputy are put to justice)

Glad you liked it Barcel, can't wait for the next one myself.  Gotta dig the Queen of Killers.  Dan & David spin a tale very nicely.  I didn't know if it was a weapons factory or not till the end.  Love a book that gets me all ticked off at the bad guys & root for the good guys.  Good stuff!!

Something came to mind when reading the first couple of posts here... In one of my favorite stories, thier is a line tha goes something like this:

"What motivates an out-law differs from person to person. 'Good' or 'bad' don't figure into solidarity." I've always thought that line is one of the truer statements ever found or written in a science-fiction.

Army:  No, that character was not based on anyone I've ever known.  But I think David came up with the name.  K. C. B. Porter, the Chief of the Combined Staff, is my character.  (Think of "HMS Pinafore.")  Now, we had one reader, very excited to find his name in our books:  Billie.  Yes.  But that name we just picked out of thin air, never imagining anyone with that name in real life would ever read one of our books!
