Where did you get the idea of Demontech and when did you start writing this book? Where did the name "demontech" come from?

Damn, this goes back a way. I originally wrote Onslaught during that fallow period in the early 90s when publishers didn't want to see anything from me. After Starfist had so much success, my editor, who had previously rejected it, asked for a major rewrite, giving it more of a military air. Someone else already had a series going called Demon Wars, so I couldn't use that. I picked DemonTech because so much of the "technology" is the demons.
