David,

Thanks for the info.  If I remember correctly, Dartmutt was in Book 3?  Spinner & Haft ran right by b/c the Jakaps basicly had the city beat...coming up from the sea.  So they're going around the west side of the Inner Sea?  When you unpack that map, photocopy it PLEASE.  Ask MClark to post it.  That would be awesome.  Lit 2 candles on Sunday for the coming of the fourth book!  Keeping the faith!

I was very saddened to learn of the demise of the DeamonTech series. I mean, the Deamontech books had a consept in them that I've been kicking around in my head since 1995: One (or in this case, 2) man from a defeated force gathering other defeated men or remnents of fighting forces around him to fight a larger, more potent foe. With the deamons coming in and reeking havok on the sences, like those disapearing little ladies, whos name I can never spell, or even pronounce, and 'Jocap' magicians trying to creat SAWs... Oh, it was so potent! The fact that I like Marines has nothing... well, very little, to do with the fact that I own all of the Starfist and Deamontech books minus the Force Recon books... (And Knives in the Night, and A soldiers Story...)

And what language was it that the magician in the first book used to bring 'Lord Gunny' to that world, anyway?

I'd have to look it up to be certain, but I think it was something on the order of land trows cause mis-carriages and eat infants.
