I've been reading the Demon Tech threads with great interest. Those of you who not read any of this series it really is a great read. I've read  and reread the series on several occassions and it will definitely leave you wanting more. I urge anyone who hasn't read it to give it a try I believe you'll agree it can become addictive. One thing I like about the stories is that they are going somewhere, it is not just one unconnected adventure after the other.  Plus you see people grow, develop, change in response to new environments, and what they do at one time affects what environment they will face in the next (ex. having acquired more followers who have to be integrated into their plans and who, by their numbers, change what can be done and what cannot be done.)

I agree lecolin.  Each book gets bigger & better.  More characters...in depth characters to boot.  Love how these two Marines, against their will, have to become leaders.  Also, gotta love the Golden Girl!  Really hope the publisher wakes up & revives this fantastic series.

David, left you a few questions in Demon Speak.

Finished DemonTech yesterday, and all in all a great run, definatly left me wanting, the epic trek to Frangeria and where they go from there.

Took a little while to get going in the first book, mostly adjusting to the names of places and things. The names of some languages, places, and the enemy dont roll right off the tongue. My brain had to adjust to pronouncing and repronouncing them. Once I got past that, was smooth sailing.

The way each book ratchets up the trek I think is the key to the whole thing. More people, more places revealed, more battles, etc. The funny thing is there are places revealed that leave open areas for more stories, the Elf Wood, the Land of the Night People, Dwarf mountains, etc. The Demons and the way they are employed are great fun, and I especially like how they are used in a moderate way, not dominating the battles and overall feel of the book.

The other great part is all the subplot mysteries, that are subtley hit here and there, from the symbol on Hafts axe that gathers reverence from demons and humans alike, the abilities and mystery surrounding WOLF, to the old man that helped Haft/Spinner/Rammer escape New Bally.

Maps, a prequel about Lord Gunny, more strange and fun demonTech, and other things leave one wanting more.

Again a fun ride, great charcters, great story, a joy to read, hope something breaks that allows you to write more.
