Oh, a fellow Traveller fan. I remember that role playing game fondly. I loved all the early stuff, but lost interest with the later versions.

Anyway, welcome pull out your favorite beverage and enjoy the discussions.

Welcome aboard! I'm Admiral Link, a fellow Canadian.  You did a great job for the Dragon APC.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I forgot to mention that I am from Australia, down south in Melbourne.

Now I have me some reading to do to catch up with the latest happenings... and now I also have to research the ESSAY for a model build now I am all enthused again

About traveller... I am getting a good feeling about the Traveller 5 release... we shall see.

BT:  I was the chief NCO of the U. S. liaison section to the Australian/NZ armed forces headquarters in Vietnam, 1967-1969. Drank a LOT of Toohey's Flag Ale and Resches with the Aussies.  Those men were, without a doubt, the most professional soldiers I ever served with.  Made it down to Nui Dat a couple of times and out to Tay Ninh as part of my liaison duties.  Moreover, I was there in 1962 when the first members of the Australian Army Training Team, Vietnam, arrived in Saigon at the old Military Assistance Advisory Group (MAAG) heaquarters.  Later, in '63, up county, we had some of your guys assigned to our advisory team.  Never met anyone since who could drink more beer and swear more inventively that those old warrant officers. And finally, I was there at the Free World Military Assistance Organization in Saigon the day one of the warrant officers assigned to the AATTV was awarded the Victoria Cross by your ambassador.  Took place in our conference room.  It seemed to me to be a surprisingly simple, even unpretentious ceremony for an award that high.  Of course, awards are hard to come by in your army.  I remember when my roommate got his head split open the night the VC bombed our quarters and the Aussies lying in beds next to him scoffed at the Purple Heart he was awarded, saying for them wounds from enemy action were just part of the job.
