Did David and you put the Confederation Capital in Fargo because of that black comedy movie "FARGO"? or were you two trying to copy Washington D.C.?

No, the original Washington was destroyed in the Second American Civil War which we've mentioned in passing but have never fully explained in any detail. The former U. S. should be understood as the progenitor of the Confederation of Worlds so since the U. S. capital had moved to Fargo after the civil war, the Confederation's capital was established there. We refer often to "the former United States." You may be aware that for years now, since we spread across the continent and the center of population has shifted ever westward, advocacy for moving the capital west somewhere has been voiced from time to time: easier access if in the middle of the country, more room for government facilities, better layout, etc., etc. We picked Fargo at random, nothing to do with the movie, which, by the way, is an excellent black comedy.

I've got a copy of Fargo. Not the Coens' best movie, but they deserved an Oscar for something. And, yes, why is this question in Introductions?

I was not looking at where it would be posted and just posted it. My favorite part in the movie "Fargo" is when the guy is being stuffed into the wood chipper and the cop comes up on it! I laughed so hard tears were coming off of my face;)
