Well Met all!

I am a long time reader of scienc fiction and fantasy, and always looking for new books and series to read. I ran across the starfist books in the used book store and was happily stunned that it was as large a series as it is, and focus of the marine corps in space was a excellent bonus. I am a former Marine, '86 - '96, holding three different MOS's in that time, 5 years as Air Traffic Controller, 2 years as Information Systems Corrdinator, and 3 years as Airframes/Hydrolics Mech on AV8-B. Last duty station was MCAS Yuma, AZ, VMA - 214 "The BlackSheep". I left the Corps as Staff Sergeant. I am no 40, married for 20 years, 3 kid, 16 year old girl, 12 year old girl, 11 year old boy. I worked as Network Administrator/Engineer for 8 of the 12 years I have been out, but my son was diagnosed with Autism at age 3 and I slowy rearranged my life to spend more time with him and rest of the family. I work Security overnights, while wife works for Bank during day. It gives me more time for my life and family, not being on call 24/7 that the IT field requires.

Anyway, been into computers aviation, sci-fi, fantasy since I was 8 years old. I was born and raised in Kansas city Mo, and reside there now, with family. Wife met when was 18 when we both were managers of video stores in same chain. Hooked up been together ever since.

Starfist is a very good series, I have all the books current published and reading main books now, on book 5 and going fast. I have the recon books and demontech as well.

I read across the spectrum of sci fi from classi authors to obscure. I give most every book a fair shake.

Etc, Just a small section of reading. As for fantasy, tolkein, eddings, adams, silverberg are some of the authors I enjoy. But prefer sci - fi/
