'Hi' from the new kid ~~ er, old codger.

I didn't read the first book in the series until earlier this year.  I have since read them all and am more than ready for the next one.

Welcome.
The Prime Master read the message again. This time, by the time he finished reading, he smiled beatifically. The message included a great deal of information about the Earthman Army and airpower and their tactics. This was inteligence that would serve the Emperor's army well when it next encountered the Earthman Army. As it most assuredly would.......

rwa325, Welcome aboard!

Now just how old a codger are you? You don't have to give a number, just saying which war or inter-war period you were born in is good enough. And there's got to be some meaning to that handle.

Thanks, DavidS!  Sorry for the delrep -- very messed up real estate dealings out of state kept me dazed, confused and bouncing back and forth between two points 500 miles distant.  I was born six and a half months after Pearl Harbor.  I am a Navy (61-65) and Naval Reserve (85-02) veteran, retired. Also DOD/DLA retiree (6/30/08).  My handle is not very original:  RWA are my initials and 325 is the street address I had in junior and senior high school.

Re someone's comparison of the Skinks to the WWII Japanese, my father had plenty of first hand experience with the latter on Guadalcanal and Cape Glouchester as a Navy Corpsman (then Pharmacist Mate) with the First Marine Division.
