Hello, my name is Greg and I live in Western North Carolina.  I was a Marine in the early 90's as a 5811(Feild MP). I am now a full time Deputy Sheriff in Haywood County and have been at HCSO for ten years.  I recently graduated from WCU through the online program with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. I am married with two young kids and have a love for waterfowl hunting.  I also love to read.  My favorites are historical fiction but I read almost anything about Marines.  I started the starfist series years ago and always look forward to the next one.

Hello Woodmarine, I am the Skink. Nice to meet you.

For some reason, only David Sherman and I are the only ones greeting new members, which is very odd.

I take it that your screen name is after some form of marine figure?

My screen name is after my favorite villans in the StarFist universe: The Skinks (Who I still say are modled after the Japanese of World War 2, even though some people think it's an insane idea.)

Long live the Emperor!

The Prime Master read the message again. This time, by the time he finished reading, he smiled beatifically. The message included a great deal of information about the Earthman Army and airpower and their tactics. This was inteligence that would serve the Emperor's army well when it next encountered the Earthman Army. As it most assuredly would.......

Actually my last name is Wood and I was a Marine. Also my email address is woodmarine-makes it easy to remember when I always ue it as my designator.

I agree with you on the skinks-very similar to the Japanese in WW2.

I hope to be involved on the website. It appears to have some interesting information and discussions.

Go Marines!

If you need any info about this site, or the Skinks, let me know. I know many facts about those guys

Appreciate that. About the site.

Also looking at your jap comparison, you could also see some of the Vietnamese also. Asians for that matter. Hard tenacious fighters who use caves and tunnels and are very cruel.
