Hi Everyone

Hey guys I just thought I would take this time to introduce myself:
First off i am 17 years old which may surprise some of you who think kids are illiterate...which they are so I'm just the exception. =) I started reading the Starfist series a few years ago and actually used this site to track when the new books came out but was too lazy to register. I have since then read all of the books in the series more times then i can count and can't wait for the next book and the movie that I hear is hopefully getting put into production by a fan from this very site. I have nothing but praise for the authors and hope I can add my imaginative opinion to help make the Starfist series appealing to all age groups.

BlackenedX, Welcome aboard!

Don't be too hard on your age cohort for illiteracy. There are several members of this forum who were your age, or even younger, when they signed up. The youngest fan I can think of off hand from whom I received a fan email was eleven. Last week I got an email from a young woman, a Starfist fan, just entering college, who first wrote a fan email to me when she was 12!

Actually, what we are short on here is people from Dan's and my age cohort. Very few aged enough to have been in Vietnam.

Thanks Dave, it's great to hear that there's a wide age variety with interests in the Starfist series. Its even greater to hear this from one of the authors himself. I think its excellent to have a fan site where one can talk directly to the author with praise and suggestions. I hope we, the fans that is, are helping you and Dan with keeping the Starfist series alive and well.

Welcome BlackenedX. I'm the Skink around here and as you can tell from the name I am obssessed with those aliens and am currently re reading all 16 books (count in the force recon books and it's 16 total, will be 17 when book 14 comes out)

Yes many people here read StarFist. Although many people at college read Twlight which I hope burns for eternaity!

Can't stand that so called series, gets my blood running. Any way...............

Welcome to the site.

The Prime Master read the message again. This time, by the time he finished reading, he smiled beatifically. The message included a great deal of information about the Earthman Army and airpower and their tactics. This was inteligence that would serve the Emperor's army well when it next encountered the Earthman Army. As it most assuredly would.......

Welcome Blackened...I am going to shorten that name...BX. I am the screenwriter you spoke of. Hopefully upon my move to LA to push the Starfist script as well as a couple of others I have written, I will have a better grasp on what is going on with it and will let the other fans know what is up. Illiteracy is something that is becoming more and more prevalent I fear. With the use of the internet, students are learning "surfing" techniques and only read what is necessary, versus reading for pleasure.
