Hmm, yes... Yes... You see, people, there is one major problem with this... It's that I am just about the only person in here besides Mr. Sherman that has ANY IDEA of that is happening in here.  Well... Dan might, but that's an iffy thing right there.

Well, that's a relief!  Some of us were wondering if you had any ideas at all.

Tell 'em about the time the girl stopped us along the beach. I'm sure it was David who caught her eye.

Ah...yes. It was spring of 2005, and Dan had come down for a visit to we could plot a new Starfist book. We finished our work, and headed for the beach to get some sun and food. It happened to be spring break. Now don't get the wrong idea about Dan, that he scheduled his visit to coincide with spring break. I mean, I thought spring break had ended the previous week, and I live here. So anyhow, we'd eaten and were walking along the wave wall (if you've ever been to Fort Lauderdale, or seen pictures of the beach, you know what I'm referring to). Along came this slender girl, looked to be about 19, with an early start on her day's partying. She stopped right in front of us and beamed. "You guys are so cool!" she exclaimed, then tipsied on by. As for Dan's idea that I had caught her eye: During the time she accosted us, her attention seemed to be equally divided among the two of us and someone standing between us whom only she could see.

Ah, she was staring at David, very embarrassing, to tell the truth.  And she had these two guys with her and I could tell they were very concerned about being upstaged, which they were, by many degrees, and we were sober which I can't quite say for the young maiden.
