Well, well,

First afall, greetings from Austria. Since Dan urged me to leave a digital footprint here, I gladly obey. Let me introduce myself: My name is Rene Raggl and I live in a small village called Soelden in Tyrol / Austria. I for myself have served with the military in Austria, since we still have a draft. My unit was 2nd Platoon / Recon Company / Staff Battalion 6 / 6. (Jäger) "Hunter"Brigade. First got training as a fire team leader, then a specialist course as a Sniper until an accident during a field exercise got me a badly sprained ankle that immobilized me for about one to two months (with an overall time of service of 9 months) and made me a company clerk. During our border patrol service in February 2000 I was assistant commandant of the Batallion guard, ending my service as a PFC. I came in contact with Starfist about 2 years ago and after I finished the last book that was available at ereader.com I searched for the Homepage of the Authors and much to my surprise I got a response from Dan. To this day, I am always eagerly awaiting the new books and am already through with my copy of Flashfire and I can hardly wait for the sequel to show up in the bookstores. I'd be glad to get with the rest of the bunch of the Starfist community, so feel free to contact me. I always look forward to receiving new mail.

Sir, if you aren't the highest-ranking reader of our series, you're one of the old timers, the kind of person who makes us believe we're doing something right to keep knowledgeable folks like you around our books for so long!  It's also very gratifying to both of us that this series is bringing all sorts of people together on this site, all ages, all walks of life, and now someone from overseas!  Keep in touch and don't be a stranger!

Dan
