Yes sir! Ah, well i am a 17 year old student from Chesapeake Virginia who leaves for Parris Island on May 31st. Afterwards I will be at the Virginia Military Institute for 4 years. I can't wait to get in the Corps and serve my country. Other then my prospective future, i'm a big fan of computer games, military history, science fiction, and probably a whole host of things i have forgotten at the moment.

Ok, Q & A time i guess...

I think my reply to this posting went into the black hole of cyberspace to disappear forever, so here we go again.

Parris Island?  How long will you be there and what's the purpose?  Are you taking boot camp for the summer to condition yourself for VMI and a commission somewhere down the road?  I'm impressed!  Keep us posted.

Kwangers:  We salute you!  That 11 weeks of boot camp will stick with you forever, no matter what you do later in life.  And when you get those gold bars, we'll slaute you again.

Ah, thank you sir. They say that its those cherry LT2s that get ya shot, so i'll try to get out of that rank as quick as possible. I'll have around 4 years as an enlisted man under my belt to get a feel for the job though, even if i will be a reservist college boy.
