Reporting for duty!

Hello Squad!

I am soooo happy to have this website.  Feel like Dean on his first Essay ride.  My name is Ron Woodruff and I'm a 30 something Connecticut Yankee living in Chicago for the past 17 years.  Was a teacher in the inner city for 6 years, now work for Genworth Financial.  I've been devouring STARFIST since 1999.  I actually emailed Dan screaming when I thought he killed off Charlie Bass (actually, like Top, I knew he'd be back).  Luckily, Dan talked me off the ledge.  I have no military background but love Military Space Operas, and this one is the best!  My father-in-law is/was a Marine Sniper during the 'Nam.  From reading Starfist, I asked him sooo many questions about the Marines which he was MORE than happy to explain.  This series actually brought us closer and I actually got a real inside view of that chapter of his life.  HooRah!  I also love Force Recon as well as DemonTech, "Feed Me".  Let's hope DemonTech restarts.  I'm looking forward to many great conversations on a fantastic series.  Thanks to Mike for putting this site together!

Deadshot:  I remember that desperate email about Charlie.  Glad you decided to stay around.  Not only do we want to get to know you better, but we need you to keep buying our books!

Not a problem w/ me buying your books.  My wife thinks I'm nuts buying a hardback when all I have to do is wait a few months for the paperback to come out. HA!  Silly rabbit, paperbacks are for kids.  I can't WAIT for a Starfist book.  I must have it & devour it, no matter the cost.  Ok, got a little dramatic there but you get my point.  Dan & David, thank you so much for this great series.  You are already up there with Weber & Ringo, but in my opinion even higher...Heinlein baby!  Just one grunt's opinion.
