Hello all! Dan, David... first got hooked on your books with 2 of the Demontech series. Then my son got the Starfist series and the rest is history.
A bit about me.. I served 4 years in the USN on the U.S.S. Blue Ridge out of Yokusuka Japan in the early eighties. Fo the last 17 years I been building cars at the Mitsubishi plant in Normal Illinois. I enjoy Target shooting, Painting (Military models and figures), and of course.. reading.Used to do Civil War re-enacting til I got arthiritis and cant do it anymore. Recently I have taken up playing the drums. I am married to a great woman, and have 2 sons, on of whom is on this board known as barcelona blom, who IS an actual Marine, and one 10 year old at home here. I look forward to meeting u all.

Ah, yes, truly this brings the tears to me eyes but I sense and understand Panzermacher's distress which he tries manfully to disguise under his fatherly banter.  Withholding those books from the Old Man is barcelonablom's way of asserting his independence.  My own baby boy (he'll be 40 this year) does that to me all the time at poker games. I tell 'ya, that kid has more full boats than the freakin' U. S. Navy!  Ah, well, don't be too distressed, it's the way of the world and when barcelonablom comes home he can pull maintenance on Dad's private jet.
