Not too worried. I've picked up enough to get it past the locals that I'm not just parroting the same phrases over and over and over. Its a blast to sasy the least. I should be making my way up to Hiroshima sometime and then later to Kyoto.

That's the second oldest game in the world but if you're lucky, not too particular, and your money holds out, it could lead to the first oldest.

Sorry gents, I'll be waiting for someone when I get back to Miramar from the Land of the Rising Sun. She's coming back from the Land of the Burning Sun, the one with more deserts :P.

Its a kinda/sorta situation, we're excellent friends and have decided to go further after she got out of a razzed relationship... but she needed time, perfect, we both went on different deployments with our units... So we told each other when we get back we'll give it a shot.

No and I won't test the waters... I've got more honor and put my values first. Yeah, it means a lot of missed opportunities for that older profession... But thats me.

I'll tell you a story about screwing around.   A friend of mine, a guy I met on my first deployment to VN back in '62, was a neer-do-well in those days, screwed around, drank too much, never had any money.  When I left VN in September '63 he owed me some money but I just wrote it off because I knew he would never pay me back.  Well, when I returned in '65 there was old Don, back on his second tour.  First thing he said to me was he'd pay me back what he owed me, and he did!  Apparently he'd met this Japanese-American girl in California, fell in love, and she straightened him out, sobered him up, got him out of debt.  They were engaged to be married when he got orders for Vietnam.  Well, long story short, Don took his R&R to Hawaii where she met him.  He hadn't been back in Vietnam only a few days and here came the rings, no note, no explanation.  None was needed.  He'd returned to his old ways one time, picked up VD screwing around with the Saigon bargirls, and given it to his fiancee.  End of story.
