Dan:  Ask Claypool.  He's Dean's best bud and you know he can't keep his mouth shut.  Also, is it just me or does your picture in the back of all the books remind me of my Jr High shop teacher?  =)

Too quiet for me, so let's chat.

Dan:  Speaking of Claypoole, looks like the guy done good popping them tanks.  Something big planned for him?  Heck, in rereading Book 1, 'New Guy' has come a long way.  To quote Leach: "Claypoole can be a pain in the ass, but when the going gets rough, he'll back you up."

Here's some more questions for ya (as well as the last one)

Gentlemen:  Some things that bother me:

How come the Army has no flyers or close support craft?  or the Navy for that matter?

Any anti-aircraft by the enemy? (i don't remember any)

In the Kingdom Series, they used bombardment from orbit.  Why not here? (little rolling thunder)

Deadone:  Since the stories do not concentrate on army operations we never had any reason to go into the army's close-air-support capabilities.  Navy has it and was mentioned in STEEL GAUNTLET and the first Kingdom book where the hotshot navy top gun tries to put the make on Conorado's wife in the O club on  Thorsfinni's World.  Obviously the enemy has AA capabilities as you might recall from SG again.  Since bombardment from orbit relies on string-of-pearls observation satellites, in FLASHFIRE and POINTBLANK it's hampered by the enemy's excellent anti-satellite batteries.  Now can I go back to sleep?

Deadders:  That scene is David's.  He may have some plans for Claypoole but I don't.  I have a crush on Chang-Sturdevant, remember?
