Ok now before you mob and attack me you should at least give this book a chance. The books name is The Fall Of Reach. There are two others but I think this one is by far the best. Just give it a shot. Oh its nothing like the video game for those who don't care for it, and for those who do enjoy the video game will love this book. The sole reason I play the video games is because I read the book and got into the story line.

My favorite book from Halo Series is The Flood and First Strike. Only problem is that I do not own a Xbox 360 but I play the Halo Series at my friend's house. Halo 2's storyline is soooooo long and the pace is sooo auggghhhh (zombie sound, reference from Electric Playground with Tommy and Victor reviewing Resident Evil Zero).

Well, apart from the game, the books are very entertaining. So regardless of what the video game is like, I would urge anyone who likes military sci-fi to read them.

I love the series. I just got them for Christmas. I'm currently reading "Ghost of Onyx"

My favorite so far, well, it's a tie between "Contact Harvest" and "First Strike". I did not like "The Flood". It's a necessary evil but, the book  reads more like a transcript of someone playing the game. Dietz was a greenside Corspman so he knows just enough about the infantry to get himself into trouble and not enough to get himself out. Nylund is the superior writer. The only things that bug me are some of the terms. Like Marines (supposedly there is a direct lineage from US) referring to eachother as soldiers and everyone salutes everyone else at every moment they get. Just a minor irritation.

I'd like to see more books by Staten (Harvest).

I think they are at the most, "ok" books. They're definately not the best written pieces of work out their but they did push some goodness into the Halo story. Also if any of you guys are wondering, my gamertag for Live is Zorn507R if yall ever wanna play some Halo 3 (or 2)
