Mechs?
Posted: 27 Jan 08 12:09 PM Modified By Skink on 1/27/2008 1:03:53 PM)
Would it be possible to have mechs in the starfist universe? The kind of mechs I am talking about are the ones in the animatrix. Go on You Tube type in Animatrix part 2: civil war. It tells the story of how humanity lost to the machines in a great war. This takes place before the first matrix takes place.

do you mean powered armor? or full on Gundam style mecha? Skink, my ever curious friend you have to expand you movie base, and take a leap into Anime more...but powered Armor, like what starship troopers had in the Books or like the girls in the anime Bubblegum Crisis are cool, the tech needed for that to work in the speeds of combat are high...power supply is a sticking point in armor...war has no time to pause for a battery change...so i doubt it...Mecha, of the gundam type, robots over 3 stories tall, guns the size of tanks, and honestly not very realistic...in true combat that really big mech is a really big and tall target for shoulder launched rockets...its walking so it has to keep balance and cant carry that much heavy armor...a marine from todays corps could take out a large mech with a single shot from a shoulder launched rocket to a knee or ankle joint...a squad of fist vs a squad of armoured troopers can move more quietly, into tighter spaces and put out just as much fire power as the larger powered suits...and why the heck is this in the books section...darnit Skink at least watch were you post these things...i know we like to wander around here but honestly...need to watch anime, just ask and i can point you in the right direction...

God, Gundam was such a good anime. I watch the ghost in the shell and death note and full metal achelmast. But, man Gundam, what a show! Hey, remember Dragon ball Z? Now that was a good anime

David!  What the #$%! are these guys talking about?  "Movie" to me means "Casablanca," "Sands of Iwo Jima," like that.

personaly i hated dragonball...it was pointless and also never ended...ever...as for gundam, out of all the diffrent types, i liked 08th MS team the best, it was most realistic of all the gundams...ghost in a shell is a winner too...for armor combat check out Full Metal Panic, a new anime called FLAG, also Gasaraki (i actualy am alittle meh on this one but the mecha are cool) there are many others...
