I was a guard, and It was a job to pay the bills, not exactly fun. I started new job two weeks back.

Finished John Scalzi;s Old Man's War. Have to highly reccomend it, great book, great story, RAH would have been proud!!

Reading second in the series, the ghost brigade.

You'll love the last one in the trilogy: "The Last Colony".  I beleive he is also writing another book but this time it is about the little girl in the 2nd book. Youll love how the CDF ends

Finished the Scalzi trilogy and was very impressed with the story. HIGHLY reccomend it to anyone. Skink, as for the his next installment Zoe's Tale, I think I'll skip it, the preview says its a rehash of the third book experience. I dont really see that it needs rehashing, if after its release it ends up in the used book store might get it.

I moved onto Robert Buettners Orphanage and Orphan's destiny. I am stunned at how good these are, and am continuing with Orphan's Journey. Read them, you wont be dissapointed!!

I am just happy as a lark to have this many live series going. David and Dan's books for Starfist coming, Scalzi working on something Im sure, Buettners got two more coming also (october this year and next year), I havent started it yet but John G. Hemry/Jack Cambell's "The lost fleet"
looks promising with two more in the series to come( I have all 4 he has written).

I havent taken the David Weber baptism yet (honor harrington) but everyone says they are great (books are pretty thick, hope not to verbose), but hope to get into those soon as well.

Finished all of Rick Shelleys books (15 books), they are decent, but far below any of the above mentioned. I would say the Second Commonwealth trilogy is the best of the lot.

Thats about it for now, been a great two weeks of reading I have to say!!!

Be well,

Trang

Stay away from the Halo books. The characters are all the same. And the plot has no or very few twists and turns.
