I thought the weber books were all well done, and the thickness of some of his books is needed to help drive the story along vs. bookcase filler...on second thought, the Tech can get kinda over the top but i love tech. I actually started on some of his other books before i started the honor-verse...all his books so far are worth reading, i think. I haven't had the time to read his latest novel but will get to it soon.

I have to agree with the Shelley's books, its ok...but not on par with any books listed...anyways they are more a Rangers/Spec ops team vs. our ever so favorite Marines...

I hope people didn't think I was trashing Heinlein or Starship Troopers with what I wrote last year.  He was a giant and ST is a fantastic book, people writing military sci-fi today or whiching about mechs owe him a dept.  But as I said, the writers today who stand on his shoulders are writing fanststic stuff too.
