Military Sci Fi: Space

Does anyone have a series that deals with navy engangements in space? Honor Harrington really didn't live up to it's name ( in my mind)

Any others? Please?

The Prime Master read the message again. This time, by the time he finished reading, he smiled beatifically. The message included a great deal of information about the Earthman Army and airpower and their tactics. This was inteligence that would serve the Emperor's army well when it next encountered the Earthman Army. As it most assuredly would.......

The Killing Frost by Scott Gamboe has a decent amount. It's a futuristic Sci-Fi about a military detective/ex-sniper who tracks down a cult that's trying to bring about a war between two feuding alien races. There are some land fights but there's just as many epic space fights that are nicely detailed. It's sort of like the Starfist Force Recon series except there not as silent with their blowing shit up.

-It doesn't have as much of a military feel as Starfist but its still a good read.

I'll go again with the John Hemry / Jack Campbell books.

The lost fleet correct? That was my first space military book. Great battles, love that battle in book 4 when the Syndic fleet passes over destroyed cruisers that have reactor time bombs. They go: BOOM, and for a moment in that system everything lights up.

That's what is so great about his books, the realistic characters. Honor Harrington in my opinion was well too perfect.
