Yes, Skinky, that's my son and daughter-in-law in that picture.  You knew that, of course, because he's so handsome.  Not that David is ugly, mind you, but he is very loveable.

No, the Marines don't have flamethrowers, they aren't needed anymore in the 25th century, not with the anti-personnel weapons in use.  It's commonly thought the Skink homeworld is marshy and swampy but don't forget, it hasn't been discovered yet.

Have you looked up the "Sun Burn Missile" yet? So, I guess the home world would be normal. Do you and David have any plans to counter a skink rail gun by building a similar Marine type weapon. In book 10 :"A world of Hurt" you and David mentioned that the humans are working on a counter weapon to defeat Rail guns. What has Uncle David thought of a Skink Earth invasion, he said that you had no plans.

You will find some, but not all, answers to those questions in WINGS OF HELL, but generally we follow a policy of not revealing what's coming up in the next books.  Don't want to spoil the suspense.

Jeppers, yes, you are beginning to sound like, "I gotta go pee!" on a thousand-mile trip.  Well, the answer is, "You'll just have to wait until we get there!"

RECOIL next spring.  We're just now reviewing the copy-edited ms.  It goes next to galleys and then be bound and distributed.  WINGS OF HELL, sometime late '08, early '09.
