Re: the occasional oops Ian Douglas makes about his Marines; I believe that William Keith (his real name) was in the navy. Gotta expect squids to make a few mistakes. He doesn't really make a habit of it, though. He's close enough to make me think he served with Marines at some point.

Well, W. E. B. Griffin, in one of his books in The Corps series, has a Marine winning the Distinguished Service Cross.  Griffin, as you may know, was in the army.  Now me, I don't make those mistakes, I have a Marine as a co-author!  He's pretty salty too.

yeah the book says he was a navy corpsman, and the feeling seems right...i think he must have served with some leathernecks...finaly got around to finishing the book, it was great. the man sure has an intresting way to pull off a triple trilogy...the timeline alone is crazy cool...it was a good book, a say a must read, but only after you read the first 6 books...

The most recent is Star Strike, which is the first book in a new trilogy.
