ok someone explain the MASER to me. What kind of ammunition does it use that leaves no entry or exit wounds?

Bos, you have to forgive the poor lad, his allowance is not big enough to permit him to buy more than a few bags of Twizzlers at a time  and he moves his lips when he reads.  But we still love him too much.

Als, there dear Bos...I have not read Backshot....but it is on my Fall Reading List. Just been too busy with writing a Starfist screenplay, working, and reading Point Blank....sorry old chum!

MASER: originally stood for Microwave Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.  Similar to LASER, except that nowaday both terms are words in their own right.  LASER was originally called "optical MASER" until it was distinguished from its parent with its own acronym.

As far as whether a maser weapon could indeed kill someone with just a few seconds (or less) exposure, maybe D&D know something few others do.  Sci Fi frequenty presages the future, as you may be aware.
