Isn't it consider as breaking the fourth wall when a character from the novel buys a book that exist in real life?

Artists are not restricted by "walls" or any other convention.  All of human history and endeavor up to the 25th century belong to us in these books and we use it all.

Now wait a minute if Jak Delay read book 13: StarFist:Wings of Hell, then won't he know he is going up aganist the Skinks on Haulover? It makes sense.

Haven't you ever heard of temporal paradoxes? If you change one thing in history, everything else changes as well. The very fact that Jak Daly read Starfist books changed the books that he read from the books that you read. So the Skinks don't appear in the Starfist universe that Jak read about in those books.

It's like what happens if you go back in time and kill your grandfather before he meets your grandmother.
